Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve - Hemmingway Trail
We will pick you up from your residence at 7:30 a.m for your Kenya and Tanzania Kenya wildlife safari and drive to Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, we will stop to enjoy the panoramic and breathtaking views of the valley. We will then descend the escarpment and drive through the Hemingway trails to arrive at Narok town for lunch. After lunch, we will continue to Masai Mara and arrive for a late afternoon/early evening game drive in the park, which will last until sunset.
MASAAI MARA FULL DAY- EXPLORE THE MAGIC OF MASAAI MARA
Enjoy a full-day trip into the Maasai Mara game reserve, with morning and afternoon game viewing. You’ll have lunch by the Mara River, watching hippos and crocodiles, and witness the spectacular wildebeest migration. After the afternoon game drive, return to your camp for a hot shower and dinner.
MAASAI MARA- LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK/FABULOUS FLAMINGO TRAIL
Visit the Maasai village (manyatta) and then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. Lunch will be served on the way, and you will arrive at Lake Nakuru hotel in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK (FLAMINGOS HAVEN)
Lake Nakuru National Park is famous as the home to thousands of greater and lesser flamingos. The park also provides sanctuary for Rothschild giraffes, rhinos, and leopards. Upon arrival, we will have lunch in Nakuru and then embark on an afternoon game drive in the park, home to millions of flamingos and, more recently, leopards, black rhinos, and white rhinos. After the game drive, we will return for dinner and an overnight stay.
NAKURU – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, we will transfer to the Isebania border post between Kenya and Tanzania. We will assist with visa issuance and proceed to Serengeti with a game drive en route. Overnight at Osero Camp/Serengeti bush camp.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Morning and afternoon game drives in the Serengeti. Overnight at Serengeti Bush Camp / Osero Camp.
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater, stopping at Olduvai Gorge en route. The Gorge, about 50km long and in some places 90m deep, was first discovered by a German entomologist named Professor Kattwinkel. Dr. Louis Leakey and his wife found humanoid remains of Zinjanthropus in 1959. Visit the small museum at the gorge to view displays and pictures of the earliest inhabitants. After arriving at the lodge, enjoy lunch and a nature walk with a lodge naturalist. Overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge / Eileen Treein Lodge.
NGORONGORO CRATER
In the morning, you’ll depart for the world’s largest wildlife zoo. After breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch. The crater floor has diverse habitats, offering an incredible wildlife experience. Later, you’ll return to the lodge for the evening. Overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge/Bougainville Lodge on a full board basis.
NGORONGORO CRATER – LAKE MANYARA
After breakfast, you’ll leave the Crater and drive to Lake Manyara. You’ll stop at Mto wa Mbu village for lunch, then continue to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. The day ends at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge on the rim of the crater. You’ll stay overnight at Lake Manyara Eileen’s Tree Inn on a full board basis.
LAKE MANYARA – ARUSHA - NAIROBI
Today, you will depart after breakfast and head east, down the fascinating escarpment of the Rift Valley towards the village of Makuyuni and on to Arusha. The journey will pass through the Masai Steppe, filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee, and banana plantations. Upon arrival in Arusha, you will have lunch before boarding a shuttle to Nairobi.
