SPECTACULAR VIEW OF MASAI MARA WILDEBEEST MIGRATION

BEST SPOT TO WITNESS GREAT MASAI MIGRATION

Which national park—Masai Mara or Serengeti—is the finest place to see the famous wildebeest migration, you might be wondering?
Still, the Masai Mara is your best choice; however, keep in mind that it is a much smaller reserve than the Serengeti and that there may be plenty other tourists there. The nearby private conservancies are considerably less populated. Not only will you be able to see the Migration, but you’ll also be helping the Maasai villages, who have lived there for a very long time.

SUMMARISED ITINERARY FOR MASAI MARA WILDEBEEST MIGRATION PACKAGES

Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve - Hemmingway Trail

Depart Nairobi in the morning for a journey south through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Picnic lunch at Narok. Arrive Mara for late afternoon game viewing enroute. Early evening game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at budget campsite /Lodge

Full day at the Masai Mara Game Reserve

On day two of your Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari, ours is to thrive in this magnificence. Only gently disrupting the peaceful morning quiet with the vrooms of our 4×4 top-off Land Cruisers, which offer optimal game viewing.

The Mara cats are vicious then; the easiest to spot being the lions, the cheetahs, the big 5, and the over 99 mammal and reptile species that reside in the Mara.

We span far and wide into the plain grassland, heading east to the sandy thickets of Ngama Hills for the black rhinos and west for the grass and acacia woodlands of the Mara.

The heart of the Mara presents an ironic twist, for despite it being the most densely populated part of the park, it records the least number of visitors.

The view from here is brilliant, the cherry on top being the Mara River which is the biggest barrier for the migrating herd. This part of the Mara is unspoiled, serene, and undoubtedly the best part of our Maasai Mara migration safari trip.

Our packed lunch shall be by the breathtaking grasslands and acacia woodlands characteristic of the Central Plains.

Our evening game drive shall take us west, across the Mara’s Central plains. Herbivores such as zebras, elands, giraffes, topi, wildebeests, impalas, gazelles, and warthogs are among the animals you can expect to see.

Maasai Mara - Nairobi

After returning to your camp for a hearty breakfast, you’ll visit the Maasai village [manyatta] before leaving for Nairobi. Lunch will be served along the way, and you’ll arrive in Nairobi between 16:30 and 17:00 hours at your hotel or residence with plenty of precious photos and enjoyable memories to take-home. ..
